In today's 18:15 BJJ Gi class, coach @stevecohenpt taught some half-guard fundamentals, starting with an "old old school" sweep, covering some basic counters the opponent might try, and how to work around those counters with two variations of the electric chair sweep. The half guard is a dynamic and versatile position from which many attacks, sweeps, and passes are available for both top and bottom players. Some grapplers, such as the great @tomdeblass , base their entire game around a deceptively dangerous half guard.
