An Academy is more than just an arbitrary group of trainees and instructors that study in a certain field. An Academy is a place where processes of research and learning take place, but more importantly, where there is an organized agena, that operates not just on a technical level, but also on the level of values. An academy is a place where one comes to be educated, not just to learn another technique. Independent research groups exist within an Academy, but there is a unifying line of values that brings everyone together.
